Custom Mandala Artwork Full Rights Add-On
I reserve the right to share digital versions of any of my finished artwork with my following for promotional purposes (I have to have ongoing examples to get ongoing work). The platforms I may share on include my Instagram, my Facebook page, or my websites. If you want me to hold off sharing your finished commissioned art because it's a gift, no problem. Just let me know when I'll be in the clear.
If you'd rather I not share your custom art at all, you can purchase the full rights right here.
WHAT DOES FULL RIGHTS MEAN? There are a couple options, so it depends on your needs.
LIMITED FULL RIGHTS:
This is what you'll purchase if you'd rather I just not share your finished artwork on my social media platforms. You cannot use the art for any commercial purposes with this option.
EXTENDED FULL RIGHTS:
This is what you'll purchase if you want to be able to use the artwork for commercial reasons, as well, such as making products, gift cards, t-shirts, or anything else you plan to sell.
WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY? ISN'T IT MY ART?
The answer is yes, and no. When you commission art from an artist (unless they otherwise specify), you don't actually purchase the replication rights, distribution rights, or commercial rights to that art. Those rights still belong to the artist for this very reason. As artists, we need to make an actual living for our efforts and we need to be able to bring in future business as well, or else it becomes nearly impossible to keep orders coming in.
You own your physical or digital versions of the art, and you can use them however you want (non-commercially). If you want to use them to print your own greeting cards or print them on a t-shirt, etc, you have the right to do that when you receive a digital version of the art. You just can't sell those things to others without purchasing the extended rights.
